We will visit your aircraft and calibrate your onboard FDRS sensors and DFDAU processing channels. Depending on the health of your FDR system, calibration can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days. Calibration tasks normally require a minimum of 3 engineers, i.e.- one in the cockpit, one to monitor the calibration values, and one to monitor the outside of the aircraft for safety reasons. If your AMM is up to date and all words, subframes, and bits are in place, the calibration task can run rather smooth. However, if your AMM does not reflect the actual configuration of your aircraft, we recommend obtaining the latest data from the OEM, prior to inviting us out to your aircraft.
In conclusion, you will find that in terms of repair, most calibrations are resolved via sensor adjustment or replacement, repair of broken or faulty wiring, or re-engineering of processing channels by revising conversion algorithms.
If your aircraft FDR system has not been calibrated in a while or if your FDR system regulatory calibration is due, contact us for expedited service.
