The calibration of your SSFDR system normally requires you to read the SSFDR data in real time, while comparing engineering unit values against the aircraft manufacturer’s AMM specification. Sensors or systems which are discovered to be out of range are either adjusted, replaced, or in some instances re-engineered. The industry standard tool for carrying out the calibration task is generically known as the DSDU (Data Signal Display Unit or Digital Signal Display Unit). FDSim®, our new DSDU dedicated to the F1000 SSFDR, is capable of displaying the FDR raw data in engineering units so that you can perform a direct comparison with the values found in your AMM. This new product is scheduled for release in October 2011 and will be available for purchase or lease.
